The Iris Experiment
A downloadable game
What if a horror game wasn't just watching you, but feeling you? What if your own body was the controller, the mechanic, and your worst enemy?
This is an experiment in a new kind of horror. Using your webcam and microphone, the game tracks your blinks, your breath, and even your gaze. Every time you blink, it moves. Every sharp breath you take reveals your location. To survive, you must gain control over your own involuntary reactions.
This project is in its earliest stages of development by a solo developer. This page is a devlog – a place where I will share my progress, my breakthroughs, and my struggles. You'll see the first successful blink detection tests, the creation of the "asthmatic mode," and the development of the open-source Python brain that powers it all.
